YOUR DATA
Privacy Policy
This policy describes the current features of NetCheck at netcheck.world.
Last updated: 11 September 2026. Questions or privacy requests: netcheckworld@gmail.com.
Public tools and network data
You can run a speed test without an account. Our hosting infrastructure receives network requests, including your IP address and browser request information, to deliver the website and test data. Hosting providers may process operational and security logs under their own policies.
When you check IP details, including after a completed test, your public IP is processed to find network, provider and approximate location information. Depending on availability, this uses Cloudflare network data, ipify, ipwho.is, ipapi.co or ipapi.is. These providers receive the IP or request information needed for the lookup.
Maps and device location
IP-based maps show an estimate. Precise device location is requested only when you choose the device-location option and approve your browser’s permission prompt. Loading an OpenStreetMap map sends the map coordinates and a web request to that provider. IP addresses and device coordinates are not included in saved test history.
Accounts and saved measurements
Firebase Authentication handles email/password and supported provider sign-in, verification emails and password resets. Account information can include your email, account identifier and display name. NetCheck’s application server verifies sign-in tokens and does not store your password. The legacy ChatGPT sign-in option remains available for earlier accounts.
When signed in, completed test reports are sent to your account history. We store an account identifier, test identifier, time, download and upload measurements, ping, jitter and completion status. The latest 100 results are retained; older results are removed as new ones are saved. Results remain until removed through this limit or deletion.
Browser storage and notifications
The authentication service uses browser storage to maintain your sign-in. The Remember me choice controls whether the Firebase sign-in persists across browser sessions. You can sign out or clear your browser’s site data. Browser notifications require your permission and currently announce completed tests while the page is open. You can revoke permission in your browser settings.
Service status and external links
We retrieve available official status feeds to display service reports. Following an external report or provider link opens another website, which handles your information under its own policy.
Service providers and support email
NetCheck uses Sites hosting, Cloudflare infrastructure and storage, and Google Firebase for the functions described above. These services may process information outside your country. Emailing support sends your address, message and any attachments through Gmail so we can respond. Avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Advertising and analytics
The current site does not load AdSense ads or initialize Google Analytics. If we add advertising or analytics, we will update this policy and add relevant choices before enabling those features.
Your choices
You can use public tools without an account, decline device-location and notification permissions, sign out, and delete saved test history from your dashboard. For account deletion, access or correction requests, contact netcheckworld@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify account ownership. Deleting dashboard history does not by itself delete your authentication account or records held by infrastructure providers.
Policy updates
We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the date above.
